Elephants
Elephants are the largest mammals in the world. Although they have huge bodies and great power, their movement are smooth and gentle.
Newly born elephants usually have thick hair all over their body. When they grow up the hair become sparser. Adult elephants have almost no hair.
A female elephants carries her unborn young for about 20 to 22 months. Within a hour of birth, the baby elephant can stand on its own feet. The baby elephant is usually about one meter high and weigh about one hundred kilograms.
